Case Study: Co-Packer
Overview
A co-packer enlisted the help of Crawford Packaging as they had been searching for a new shrink film supplier that would provide both quality film and service. A Crawford Packaging Specialist visited their facility to discuss their current processes and set up a time to conduct film testing with the operator and manager. After conducting several tests with varying gauges of shrink film on the client’s equipment, a shrink film solution was found: Sealed Air’s Cryovac® CT Shrink Film.
Process
A Crawford Packaging Specialist visited the client’s facility to perform a full audit of their operations. After completing the audit, the Packaging Specialist set up a meeting with the Operator, Manager, and a Sealed Air representative to test varying gauges of shrink film on their existing shrink wrap equipment.
The client had previously been using a 60-gauge shrink film. The Packaging Specialist tested three Cryovac® products of varying gauges, starting at a 60-gauge and progressively moving down to thinner gauges.
