Flow Wrap Equipment
Flow Wrapping, or Horizontal Form-Fill and Seal (HFFS) is the process of making a horizontal bag from a single roll of film. Heat is applied to the bottom and ends of the film to form a sealed, flexible package already filled with products. Flow wrap packaging is used for a variety of products from food and bake goods to regular household items and stationary.
RGD VR-8 Master Flow Wrapper
The VR-8 Master is the top of the line flow wrapper in the VR-8 line and is our most versatile and flexible Flow Wrapping solution. It is available with multiple upgrades including a wider roller and bigger sealing head, and multi-length infeed. The VR-8 Master is able to handle packages requiring a film width up to 33.5”.
RGD VR-8 Advance Flow Wrapper
Steaming from the VR-8 Master, the VR-8 Advance is an efficient, practical, and easy-to-manage solution to optimize the packaging process. The VR8 Advance flow wrapper includes enhancements that further extend the machine’s capabilities in terms of product format and packaging speed. Solutions have been introduced that further simplify changeover, reduce overall downtime, and minimize film consumption while ensuring excellent compatibility with sustainable materials.

Fast Change Overs
Flow wrapping equipment is easy to change over from one packaging size to another. The integrated conveyor systems are easily adjustable guides that adjust quickly to the needed width. Flow wrap film rolls use corrugated cores that make swapping film sizes simple.
Increased Throughput
Flow wrap packaging machines offer a high speed, automated alternative to traditional bagging practices. Flow Wrap equipment is a perfect packaging solution for products packaging from speeds up to 70 packs per minute.
Flow Wrap is Customizable
Flow wrapped products provide excellent opportunities for increased branding. Clear flow wrap films provide customers with an unobstructed view of your products. Optimal for produce packaging, these clear films can increase product visibility and improve retail sales.
An Added Layer of Protection
Flow wrapped products benefit from an added layer of protection from outside contamination. This contamination can be in the form of dust, moisture or harmful UV rays. Flow wrapped products also benefit from less direct handling. This limits “pick through” damages that can occur at retail.
