Online Sales Specialist

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Inside Online Sales Specialist. This role is essential in generating incremental growth by actively engaging existing and potential customers, establishing strong relationships, and closing sales. It also involves managing and expanding an online sales channel and fostering lasting customer connections. The ideal candidate will have inside sales experience, a deep understanding of online buying behaviours, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Outreach: Utilize cold calling, email campaigns, social media, and digital channels to generate and nurture leads through the sales funnel.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong customer relationships by regularly communicating, understanding their needs, and providing solutions.
  • Sales Presentations: Conduct remote sales presentations using phone, video conferencing, or online platforms.
  • Follow-Up & Upselling: Follow up with leads and customers to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and explore opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  • Digital Sales Strategy: Develop and implement digital and eCommerce sales strategies to drive online sales and enhance customer experience.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and adjust strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Collaboration for Website Optimization: Work with internal teams to improve website functionality and user experience, ensuring alignment with sales and brand goals.
  • Quoting & Pricing: Prepare quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, and maintain accurate CRM records of customer interactions.
  • Product Expertise & Continuous Learning: Maintain a deep understanding of company products, stay updated on industry trends, and perform additional tasks as required.

Job Qualifications

  • Sales & Digital Expertise: 1-2 years of sales or business development experience, with a preference for knowledge in packaging and distribution, solution-based selling, digital sales, and eCommerce.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with online sales platforms, CRM systems, ERP systems, and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Customer Service & Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional customer service skills, active listening, strong interpersonal abilities, and effective communication for both internal and external interactions.
  • Presentation & Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver compelling presentations.
  • Organizational & Analytical Skills: Strong organizational, time management skills, and proficiency in data analysis to drive informed decisions.
  • Adaptability & Growth Orientation: Proactive, autonomous work style with a commitment to personal and professional growth, comfortable in dynamic, rapidly changing environments.
